Located in Erith, JDM Scaffolding Ltd is a family-run scaffolding company that has served the industry for over 20 years. We deliver safe, intelligent and resourceful answers to our client’s challenges from the start to the finish of their contracts. Areas covered by JDM Scaffolding include Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Dartford, Gravesend, Orpington, Sidcup and Kent. We also extend our services into London and the Southern Home Counties. We pride ourselves on the delivery of modern scaffolding services at competitive prices. Our projects range in size from domestic to commercial and maintenance work.
JDM Scaffolding has enjoyed continued growth since its inception whilst maintaining an excellent safety record. The company builds strong working relationships with customers and currently generates the majority of its business activity from these relationships. We pride ourselves on staff retention – over 50% of our employees have been with us for 15 years or more with 95% of our staff having worked for us for over 2 years.
JDM Scaffolding currently has a workforce of 40+ dedicated staff covering roles from yardmen to senior management. The company invests heavily into the development and training of its people and, in return, has the reward of an ambitious and committed workforce. Our Approach is to ensure that we always work to the highest standard, where safety is our priority at all times. We are uncompromising in our commitment to the health and safety of our employees, co-workers on site and the community and always aim to promote a positive attitude towards safety.
JDM spends a lot of time and effort thinking about the materials it purchases and have created long term relationships with its suppliers over the years.
All of our equipment meets industry standards and is tested regularly. We now use 3.2mm high yield galvanised scaffold tube, which makes it 25% lighter. This can provide benefits in several areas; most importantly so for our men! Lighter tube can make a huge difference to the safety of our staff, as they are not working with such heavy materials. We also use drop forged fittings; drop forged fittings are recognised as the strongest and most reliable fittings available.
Being equipped for all eventualities is important to us, therefore all of our scaffolders are provided twin tail lanyards, tethered tools, impact wrenches and all standard PPE.
JDM Scaffolding appreciates what a business needs to do, to be sustainable in the long term. We also understand that to be the best in our Industry, we need to have the most highly qualified workforce possible. They are our most valuable asset, so investing in them means we can provide both the training and resources they need to deliver a high quality standard on all of our projects to all our clients, maintaining our legal obligations and ensuring the safety of our employees and others that may be effected by their acts or omissions.
JDM invests heavily in training, annually running training courses. Many of our staff have trained from Labourer through to Advanced Scaffolder. We will also train all of our staff in First Aid On an annual basis together with Asbestos awareness and provide regular ToolBox Talks to keep everyone up to date with current legislation and guidelines. We have many operatives now trained to SSSTS and SMSTS level.

We have gained CHAS, SMAS, CONSTRUTIONLINE SILVER and Safecontractor accreditations proving time again that we are dedicated to safety and achieving more and more accreditations each year.
